Vale - Colin Charters | Newcastle Rowing Club

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Colin Charters, aged 84 years.   Colin was a long time member of Newcastle Rowing Club and was well known for his work as a Boat Race Official, particularly in the Central Districts region.  He was also well known for his work capturing the history of Newcastle Rowing Club.

2024 Laurie Stepto Scholarship | Applications Open

The Laurie Stepto Scholarship is an annual award provided by the Laurie Stepto Trust to an aspiring New South Wales based rower to commemorate the great contribution of Laurie Stepto to the sport of rowing to ensure that his name and legacy live on. The Laurie Stepto Scholarship provides the successful candidate a cash award totalling $5,000 over a two year period to continue his or her competitive rowing career

Rowfest - Grafton | 31 May to 2 June 2024

You are invited to attend the inaugural Rowfest at Grafton on the Clarence River from May 31 to June 2, 2024. The festival consists of a meet and greet on Friday, a wooden boat day on Saturday and the annual two island row on the Sunday.

NSW Union of Rowers - Youth Development Scholarships 2024 | Applications Now Open

The NSW Union of Rowers awards scholarships to young rowers who display potential and  are in need of financial assistance to achieve their goals in rowing. This year at least five  awards of $1,000 will be made if there are sufficient applications of an appropriate standard.  Any young rower or coxswain aged from 14 to 19 years at 31st December this year is eligible  to apply, provided they are currently registered as a Competing Member of Rowing NSW
