Australian Umpires at Chengdu International Universities Regatta in China
For the second time, Australian umpires have been invited to officiate in China at the Xinjin International Universities Rowing Regatta. Phil Fraser and Greg Smith were asked to return for their second regatta in the Sichuan Provence, while Brett Ralph and Bill Webster formed the rest of the international Official team in 2018.Â
LATEST GRANT: Local Sporting Champions
The Local Sporting Champions program provides financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-18 participating in state, national or international championships. If successful, applicants can receive $500-$750 towards the cost of attending their championships. The grant is an ongoing opportunity, and is available to eligible participants year round.

FISA grant approval for the RANDALLfoil
In early August 2018, FISA has certified the RANDALLfoil for use in all international regatta's. The World Governing Body confirming that the design conforms to all current laws and is allowed to be used in competition, including all World Rowing events.

The Southern Sports Academy provides individual scholarships to athletes based in Southern NSW, across a wide range of sports. This year, the Southern Sports Academy is again providing an Individual Athlete Program (IAP) to broaden the reach of their programs and to ensure the athletes that are deserving of support, receive that support.
