Rowing NSW End of Season Dinner

Last Friday night Rowing NSW hosted its annual awards night at Aqua Luna Drummoyne. It was a wonderful night block full of shields and awards highlighting the successes of clubs and individuals within rowing in NSW.

It was great to hear some insight from the 2023 Union of Rower Scholarship winners with many of them racing internationally over the coming months at a number of different regattas. We had Charlotte Botha and Alexandra O'Brien speak on their training leading into the Junior World Champs and we also had Madeleine Swain who has just jetted off today to race for St Catherine's over at Henley Royal Regatta in the coming weeks.

Fresh off the plane from Varese we also heard from Harrison Nichols who is a part of the Australian Para team aiming to qualify the Mixed Coxed 4 in the lead up to the Olympics and Paralympics next year.

Another highlight of the evening was hearing from Oxford Rhodes Scholar and 3x Boat Race winner Graham Jones speak on the history of Ted Bromley and what he has done and continues to do in the form of his Trust. We were also fortunate to have many of those recipients who were presented and congratulated on their underage national team selection by Graham.
