NSW Junior Pathway Program 2018
Expression of Interest
Training Day 12 November 2017

As part of the NSW Pathway Program, Rowing NSW and the four High Performance Clubs (Mosman, Sydney, Sydney University and UTS Haberfield) will be conducting Junior Pathway training days at each of their sheds. These training days form part of the process of identifying junior athletes with the potential to compete at the Junior National Team Selection trials in April 2018 including the NSW Schools Pathway Eights. An invitation is extended to rowers and coxes who will still be under the age of 18 at 31st December 2018 who are interested in rowing for NSW and, ultimately, Australia.

The second training day will be conducted at UTS, Haberfield on 12th November 2017. It is open to all Year 10-12 boys and girls who are interested in being part of this program. Their coaches are encouraged to attend and assist with the organisation and coaching on the day. Further training days will be conducted as follows:
10 December 2017 at Sydney Rowing Club, Abbotsford
28 January 2018 at Sydney University Boat Club, Linley Point

At the second training day, we will mainly be focusing on rowing technique.  For those that are new we will try to capture some anthropometrical measurements and if time permits conduct some un-invasive testing for each athlete. Results will be shared with the athlete and their coach.
