The Laurie Stepto Scholarship is an annual award provided by the Laurie Stepto Trust to an aspiring New South Wales based rower to commemorate the great contribution of Laurie Stepto to the sport of rowing to ensure that his name and legacy live on.

The rowing community mourns the passing of Hazel Kratz of Lower Clarence Amateur Rowing and Sculling Club who died on Sunday aged 89. Deepest condolences to her husband Harold and family.Â
The funeral is to take place at St Luke’s Church, Chatsworth on Saturday 2nd November at 2pm.

Further to the Notice to Constituent Members of 24 July 2019Â regarding the Reviewable Decisions made by the Board of Rowing NSW on 17 July 2019 with respect to changes to the Laws of Boat Racing, the time for objections to the Decisions has now expired.
In accordance with Clause 43(4) of the Constitution notice is hereby given that as there has been insufficient notification of a need for a review of the Reviewable Decisions by Constituent Members the Decisions thus becomes effective.

Due to high demand within the Rowing community, Rowing NSW will be running an information and theory session for members interested in becoming a Boat Race Official.
In 2007 the Balmain Rowing Club community came together under the leadership of Don Croot with a program to restore and refurbish the existing boatshed, extend its storage facilities and upgrade amenities both for the general and rowing community. Since 2009, BRC has had all the drawing documentation in place and received all the required council approvals to make this project happen.Â
