Notice Regarding Reviewable Decisions

Further to the Notice to Constituent Members of 24 July 2019 regarding the Reviewable Decisions made by the Board of Rowing NSW on 17 July 2019 with respect to changes to the Laws of Boat Racing, the time for objections to the Decisions has now expired. In accordance with Clause 43(4) of the Constitution notice is hereby given that as there has been insufficient notification of a need for a review of the Reviewable Decisions by Constituent Members the Decisions thus becomes effective.

Notice is hereby given that the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the Members of Rowing New South Wales Incorporated (“RNSW”) will be held at Sydney University Boat Club, 348 Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove NSW 2066, at 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday 18 September 2019.

Help Save Balmain RC Historic Shed

In 2007 the Balmain Rowing Club community came together under the leadership of Don Croot with a program to restore and refurbish the existing boatshed, extend its storage facilities and upgrade amenities both for the general and rowing community. Since 2009, BRC has had all the drawing documentation in place and received all the required council approvals to make this project happen.

North Coast Academy of Sport Camp | Maclean 2018

The North Coast Academy of Sport recently conducted their second testing camp of 2018 for scholarship athletes based at Lower Clarence RC over the weekend of 9-11th November, lead by John Kincade (director of NCAS) with the assistance of RNSW Sport Development Officer, Alan Bennett.

2018 Rowing NSW Reindeer Regatta & Sprint Championships wrap up

Thank you to everyone involved in making the 2018 Rowing NSW Reindeer Regatta and the 2018 Sprint Championships a memorable weekend. Aside from the late change in weather on Sunday, the weekend included some fantastic racing and great weather.

2019 Women Leaders in Sport program recipients announced

Congratulations to Katrina Davis and Chloe Congdon who were successful applicants chosen to be involved in the 2019 Women Leaders in Sport program, announced on Sunday by Minister for Sport Bridget McKenzie and Minister for Women Kelly O’Dwyer. Six women from the national rowing community were chosen to take part in the program from across three states and Rowing Australia.Â
