Bob Stone - Health Update

Bob Stone (Life Member of Leichhardt Rowing Club) in recent months has experienced serious health issues, and is to move into palliative care following current hospitalisation. Bob was President of Leichhardt from 1986-2001 and as a young member in the 1950's/1960's had State Championship wins in Eights (3), Lightweight eights (7) and 3 in Lightweight Fours - it was a very successful era for Leichhardt.

Vale Dr Stephen Hinchy OAM ASM

Rowing NSW is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Life Member and former Australian Rowing Team doctor, Dr Stephen Hinchy OAM ASM. Stephen passed away today (8 July) in hospital in Brisbane after a short illness.

Reviewable Decision | Adoption of a new class of Rowing NSW Competing Member Category

At the Board Meeting of Rowing NSW on Wednesday 17 June 2020, Rowing NSW resolved to create a new class of the Competing Member category of Registered Members pursuant to clause 12(3)(iii) and clause 14 of the Constitution. The new class of Competing Member will be known as an “Indoor Rowing Member”, and such members will have the same rights as Competing Members, but limited to participation in rowing events and regattas designated by Rowing NSW as ‘indoor rowing events.’
