Vale Patrick Hannan – 22.08.1945 - 31.07.2026

Pat passed away after a long illness, leaving a legacy that will be etched into the minds of all that knew him.

Pat was instrumental in pioneering Drummoyne Rowing, beginning a golden era for the club starting with the club’s first Lightweight coxless pair in 1967 then representing NSW in the Penrith Cup, winning in 1968.

In 1970, another 1st for the club, Pat stroked the Lightweight Coxless Four to victory in the state championships.

He also represented NSW in the Penrith Cup in 1971 and 1972.

Pat also stroked several fours and eights to championship victories.

He spread his knowledge through coaching both at Drummoyne R.C. and Sydney R.C. He also coached the 1st eight at Newington.

Patrick David Hannan you will always be remembered.
