On the eve of Anzac Day, Rowing NSW is honoured to participate in tonight’s Lest We Forget Sunset Tribute on Sydney Harbour, live on 7Two and Sky News from 5pm.
As part of the Boats Commemoration with Royal Australian Navy and Surf Life Saving NSW, rowers will participate in a special raising of the oars, honouring Australians who have given their lives in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
Rowers from these clubs are participating tonight: Sydney Rowing Club, UTS Haberfield Rowing Club, Sydney University Boat Club, Mosman Rowing Club, and Nepean Rowing Club.
The Sunset Tribute also includes the National Anthems, Acknowledgement of Country, a Procession of Drums, the Legacy Torch of Remembrance as well as The Ode, Last Post and a minute’s silence.
Lest we Forget.
