Notification of Casual Vacancy on the Rowing NSW Board

Dear Rowing New South Wales Constituent Members

Following the appointment of David Cameron as the Deputy President of Rowing NSW, a casual vacancy has been created on the Rowing NSW Board.

In accordance with clause 35 of the Rowing NSW Constitution, David’s appointment creates a casual vacancy on the Rowing NSW Board in the office of Director.

RNSW invites Constituent Members to nominate Registered Members to fill this casual vacancy. Each Constituent Member may nominate one Registered Member as a candidate for the vacancy.

Nominations must be submitted, via the approved nomination and application form to the RNSW office by email to ceo@rowingnsw.asn.au by 5.00pm on Monday 17 August 2026.

Following the close of nominations, the Rowing NSW Board will appoint a Registered Member from among the nominees in accordance with clause 35 of the Constitution. The appointment will occur no earlier than 21 days and no later than 42 days after this notification.

The person appointed to fill the vacancy will hold office until the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting in October 2028, being the point at which David’s term would otherwise have concluded.

Constituent Members are encouraged to consider nominating suitable candidates who have the skills, experience and capacity to contribute to the strategic direction, governance and leadership of Rowing NSW.
