Published Wed 14 May 2025

Rowing NSW is holding an Information and training day for people interested in becoming Boat Drivers at Rowing NSW Regattas. Boat drivers play an important role in the running of all Club, State and National regattas at the Sydney International Rowing Centre and other venues, be it for Umpire boats following races, marshalling boats or safety boats.

The information session will take place at this year’s NSW Masters Championships on Saturday 17thMay during the lunch break with some on the water training to follow. There will be some flexibility available for those interested but who may have some afternoon races. The session is open to all interested people, not just those involved with the Masters Regatta. An alternate date may also be made available for those unable to attend on the 17th May should sufficient levels of interest exist.

A boat driving licence and some experience is preferable, however assistance will be provided to beginners and for those without a licence but wishing to obtain one.
