Regatta Event Codes

RNSW CODES
  • © = Championship
  • M = Men
  • W = Women
  • MM = Men's Masters
  • WM = Women's Masters
  • E = Elite ( open to all competitors )
  • O = Open ( competitors status is not affected by competing in open events )
  • S = Senior ( open grade without age restriction )
  • I = Intermediate
  • N = Novice
  • L = Lightweight
  • U23 = Under 23
  • U21 = Under 21
  • U19 = Under 19
  • U17 = Under 17
  • U16 = Under 16
  • A,B,C,D = A Grade, B Grade etc...

An Under 23, Under 21, Under 19, Under 17 and Under 16 competitor may compete until the 31st of December in the year in which he/she reaches the age of 22 years, 20 years, 18 years, 16 years and 15 years of age respectively.

  • 1x = Single Sculls
  • 2x = Double Sculls
  • 4x = Quad Sculls
  • 2- = Coxless Pair Oar
  • 4- = Coxless Four
  • 4+ = Four with coxswain
  • 8+ = Eight with coxswain

Mixed events comprise 50% rowers from each gender.
Coxswains may be of either gender.

 


 

SCHOOL CODES

  • © = Championship
  • SB = Schoolboys
  • SG = Schoolgirls
  • 1 = 1st; 2 = 2nd etc.
  • Yr = Year

QUAD SCULLS

4x+ denotes that the race is for Quad Sculls with coxswain.
Coxless boats may race in this event provided that they carry the equilavent in metallic dead weight.

4x denotes that the race is Quad Sculls without coxswain (the Olympic class boat). Coxed Quads may contest the event however they must carry a coxswain.

All quads must have an operative steering device.

 


 

MISCELLANEOUS RESULTS CODES

The following abbreviations may appear on the regatta result pages:

  • NTT = No Time Taken (No Winning Time is available, but margins may still be supplied).
  • SCR or W/D = Scratched/Withdrew (having given official notification)
  • DNS = Did Not Start (failed to start race without notification)
  • DNF = Did Not Finish (started race but did not complete it)
  • DSQ = Disqualified
