Unlimited changes to crews may be made until 30 September. The following rule will be applied on and from 1 October, 2009.
Crew Changes (substitutes in crews), including coxswains, must be advised in writing to the Organising Committee at the
Regatta Office on an official Substitution Form at least one hour before the first race of the event.
You may change up to 50% of the members of the crew, and the coxswain.
No change in personnel of a crew is permitted between the heat and the final of an event except on medical grounds.
No substitute is permitted for a single sculler. Refer RA Rule 50 and 51.
Crew changes and withdrawals may be made on-line until Wednesday, 7 October, 2009.
From Thursday, 8 October, 2009, all crew changes and withdrawals must be lodged with the Organising Committee at
the Regatta Office, Ground Floor, Finish Tower, on the official Substitution Form.
Substitution & Withdrawal Forms
INCOMPLETE & INELIGIBLE CREWS
Those crews that remain ineligible/incomplete have not been excluded from the draw.
However they will not be permitted to contest their event until their eligibilty is resolved by either:
- making a substitution to achieve eligibility.
- moving the crew to an appropriate age category event.
(this will only be possible where there is a lane available in the alternate event).
EXCEPTION REPORTS
Duplicate Entries (@ 28/9/2009) - these competitors are entered in 2 crews in the same event.
Ineligible Crews (@ 07/10/2009) - these crews do not meet the Age Category criteria for the event in to which they are entered.
You have the option to replace a crew member to achieve the criteria or move the crew to an appropriate age category.
Please remember that you cannot compete in an 'older' age category, i.e. an 'E' category crew is not eligible for an 'F' category event.
However you are free to compete in 'younger' events i.e. an 'E' category crew can compete in a 'D' category event.
We also draw your attention to Rowing Australia Rule 25:
"The average age of a crew (excluding the coxswain) will be
calculated by dividing the total number of years of age of the crew by
the number of members of the crew rounded down to the nearest
whole number."
LATE ENTRIES will be accepted from registered competitors provided there is an available lane in the existing race draw.
No late entry fee applies but any such late entries will be placed on a reserves list (in order of receipt)
and will be published on the final draw providing empty lanes are available to accommodate those crews.
Late entries can be submitted via email to:
(please include the Event plus all competitor names and WMG Id numbers)
or lodged at the Regatta Office, Ground Floor, Finish Tower.
Late Entry Form
REGISTRATIONS for rowing competitors are still open and should be made via www.2009worldmasters.com. Please note that this is for competitor/coxswain registration only and that all event/crew entry issues should be dealt with through Rowing NSW.
