BOAT HIRE
Applications for boat hire have now closed.
Eligibility for Boat Hire
First priority for boat hire will be given to overseas competitors.
Australian based competitors should, wherever possible, arrange to bring their own boats and equipment.
Access to Hire Equipment
All hire boats and oars will be identified individually and will be accessed from the boat hire compound. Crews will boat from the compound area and are required to return boats to that area immediately after use. Crews not returning boats at the agreed time may not have access to further boat hire and may forfeit their payment.
Boat Set Up
As boats will be used by a variety of competitors, they will be set on standard rigs.
These specifications will apply to span or TD, the lateral and fore/aft.
No adjustment of span and pitch (other than by using tape on the gate) will be allowed.
Similarly no adjustments to blade dimensions will be permitted.
If competitors require specialized outboard or inboard adjustments then they may wish to consider bringing their own blades.
All sculling boats will initially be rigged level - with no height differential.
All height washers on the pins (for both rowing and sculling) will be removable horseshoe flexible washers to enable crews to quickly personalize the height of the gate without removing the gate itself from the pin.
Internal adjustment will only be permitted of stretcher and shoe height positions, slide positions and height of gates.
Boat Hire
Boats and oars are available for hire on an hourly basis for training and per event for racing.
The Organising Committee will make every effort to allocate the same boat for each event (including heats, semi finals and finals).
