ROLLING GRANDSTAND - RIDE THE RACE! - Postponed
Notice: 06/02/2012
Due to circumstances outside our control, the truck arranged to tow the “Rolling Grandstand” is no longer available to us. Rowing NSW has therefore had to postpone the trial of the Rolling Grandstand at the 2012 Championships. We are understandably disappointed that this project has been postponed and offer our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
The rolling grandstand is a project we are committed to, and something we will aim to trial at a RNSW regatta in the near future.
Popular in Europe, the Rolling Grandstand concept consists of a large truck on which a grandstand has been built. For the first time in Australia, Rowing NSW is excited to announce that a Rolling Grandstand will be trialled at the 2012 NSW State Rowing Championships on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February 2012.
Following the race for the full 2,000m, spectators can view the rowing competition from the thrill of the start right to the elation of the finish. This is a unique opportunity to view all the action and support your favourite clubs and schools!
