Sunday, November 3 played host to one of Sydney Rowing Club’s Rowers’ Reunions.
The Rowers’ Reunion is a chance for SRC rowers, both young and old, to meet and discuss all the finer points of our wonderful sport. With NSW rowing stalwarts like Michael Morgan OAM and Phil Cayzer OAM in attendance, there was plenty of opportunity for the younger members to soak in some greatness.
Sydney also uses the Rowers’ Reunions to christen any new boats in their fleet, and this year saw quite a large addition. Two new Empacher quad/fours have been joined by a Sykes lightweight four and five Sykes single sculls.
Rowing NSW CEO Tony Blower was on hand while SRC captain Paul Coates spoke about the bright future ahead for rowing in Sydney and NSW.
