Vale Peter Trives

We are all deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Peter Trives yesterday.    Many of you will be aware of Peter’s contribution to rowing in a multitude of ways – to Leichhardt Club as coach and Treasurer, as a Boat Race Official and tireless practical supporter of Masters’ rowing.

He was also Honorary Director of Finance and I was privileged to see his work behind the scenes at Rowing New South where he made an enormous contribution of his time, expertise and goodwill.

He was an energising force in all areas, a generous spirit and a classic 'Can Do' man.

As friends and colleagues we grieve the loss of this good man and on behalf of the Board, Staff and Members of Rowing New South Wales send our deepest sympathies to his wife Jane and family.
