International Adaptive Regatta Success!

Hi All:

As some of you may know, Rowing Australia recently sent an adaptive squad consisting of Ben Houlison (Lakes Rowers) in the AM1x, Kathryn Ross (Lakes Rowers) in the TA1x and National Adaptive Head Coach Pedro Albisser (Lakes Rowers) to participate in the annual International Adaptive Regatta in Varese, Italy May 2-3^rd 2009.

Racing concluded on the weekend with Ben Houlison rowing strongly to place third in the A Final in the Men’s Arms Only category to be awarded his first international medal in Adaptive Rowing. 

Kathryn Ross also raced well in the Women’s fixed seat single category.  

The adaptive squad will depart Varese later this afternoon to return home.
