NSWRA CHAMPIONSHIPS ENTRIESFor the urgent attention of those making entries to the NSWRA Championships (16th – 17th February, Sydney International Regatta Centre), Rowing Manager will stop taking entries at 5.00pm today. We are anticipating a significant entry level so please do not rely on many opportunities through the Late Entries process. NSWRA CHAMPIONSHIPS TENT SITESPlease advise the office if you wish to erect a club tent on site. We need to know the dimensions asap to provide venue management with the site plan. Failure to do so may mean that your club will need to erect their tent on the southern bank. There is no fee for tent site it is done on a first in basis with sponsors tents allocated as the first priority. Please send your tent requirements to office@rowingnsw.asn.au NSWRA CHAMPIONSHIPS VOLUNTEERSWe are still on the lookout for more volunteers to help run the 2008 NSWRA Championships. With the high number of interstate entries we are really hoping to present the venue and delivery of the regatta in the best possible manner. The assistance of a large number of volunteers is integral to this. Over the two days of the regatta we separate the roster into four major shifts. All volunteers are provided with lunch, drinks and snacks along with a souvenir regatta polo shirt (that also doubles as the “uniform” for the weekend). In particular we are always on the lookout for licensed boat drivers to act as rescue boat drivers or drive the umpire boats. This can be one of the best roles at a regatta, under the direction of the Umpire drivers can get about as close to the action as possible.
