Crystal Piper Awarded Athlete Grant
After the NSW Olympic Council Annual General Meeting last Wednesday, we are excited to announce that Crystal Piper of the Lower Clarence Amateur Rowing Club has been awarded one of 10 Athlete Grants to help aid her development in a Olympic Sport.
The $1,500 individual grant is designed to provide financial assistance to ‘up and coming’ NSW athletes who are under 18 and not currently receiving significant funding from other sources. The grant is increasing in its popularity - the NSWOC received over 500 applications for 2017, up from over 300 the previous year.
Crystal was chosen as one of 10 athletes out of the 500 applications. It is a great reflection of her dedication to her rowing
Crystal has also been chosen as a Brand Ambassador by well recognised rowing apparel brand JL Racing. She is definitely one to watch out for in the coming years!
Well done Crystal!
