Following noise complaints from local residents, coaches on the Parramatta river are reminded of the following;
- There is to be no amplified coaching before 7.00am and every effort must be made to keep noise levels to a minimum in areas close to residential zones - especially areas where houses are close to the water.
- There is to be no rowing more than two boats abreast past the Ryde Railway Bridge. There is a significant navigational hazard to ferries in negotiating past rowing craft in the restricted part of the river
- All rowing boats and coaching launches are to properly lit before sunrise under the maritime regulations.
Rowing NSW has been advised that additional patrols will be undertaken to enforce these rules by RMS
