Trust, transparency in operation? A genuine commitment

At a recent AIS conference sports were encouraged to forget about the domestic rivalry and develop an ''international outlook'' to ensure cross-code and sport barriers don't hold Australia back on the world stage.

I fully support this position and line of thinking. I have always felt there are aspects of other Olympic and non-Olympic sports that make them successful that we should look at, and learn from.

What would we do with more money in rowing?

The cost of not supporting coach education

Membership Growth. Why?

In the past, membership of Rowing NSW has been primarily linked to one right to compete in regattas. But what about the people who don’t want to compete. Is there a place for non-competitive members and supporters to contribute to our sport and how actively should we seek them out to join?

Major sporting codes in Australia have embraced tribal marketing and membership growth strategies, but is this relevant or even achievable for rowing?
